Point of no return

“Perhaps it’s finding yourself after a long time or losing yourself after holding on for so long.

Maybe it’s a beautiful epiphany or an ugly cognizance.

But you know you’ve already gone too far when you begin to see the light in the darkness or when you begin to see the darkness near lamp’s bottom.

When you feel the drought inside while standing in pouring rain or when you feel drenched to your bones under the clear sunny sky.

When you don’t hear a word in the middle of screaming voices or when you clearly hear the deafening noise of silence.

When you taste the bitter loneliness amidst many friendly chattering faces or when you find sweet comfort and peace in the company of your own solitary self.

Maybe it’s a beautiful epiphany or an ugly cognizance.

But you know you’ve already gone too far, past the point of no return.”

    1. I think it’s different for everyone. In my opinion, we are past the point of no return when we’ve seen too much in a short passage of time. Thanks for taking time to read this, Garry!

Powerful words sakshi. To write this indicates a knowledge of the depths of life. Some time the point of no return is where you need to be to return. Thank you for sharing

Wonderful post Sakshi..it’s a mix of both I guess..Beautiful epiphany and a ugly cognizance. And I also feel solitude can be beautiful only to a certain limit. There is no point of return because the poet doesn’t want to return.πŸ˜‰ otherwise the poet will find a way.

    1. Maybe there’s nothing to gain from returning. Maybe that’s why the poet doesn’t want to return. It makes sense if you put it that way πŸ˜‰ Thanks for your love towards my writing, Jeni dear! 😘😘😘 How are you??
